| Last night we had the most excellent meal ever.
We purchased a 5 lb pre-cooked brisket, I did chicken boobs in the crock with salsa, made a black bean and corn salsa and quac and we did brisket and chicken tacos. So good!
Tonight J is having some leftover brisket in a sandwich.

| I'm thinking it is going to be shrimp, mushroom, and spincach quesadillas and chicken fajita quesadillas.
Have to run to the grocery store today. Tomorrow night it is going to be spaghetti for everybody but me. I have Ladies Fellowship tomorrow night.

| Colin wants me to make butter chicken again, but we're all out of chicken, so I jokingly said I could make butter venison expecting him to make his yucky face, instead he jumped on it, so I guess we're having butter venison tonight. | |

| well I still haven't had the chance to taste it yet. this darn thing will not set. I've now left it in for 35 min longer than the recipe called for. And I'd call spaghetti sauce without noodles a mild chili | |

| Well the quiche turned out to be more like baked scrambled eggs, but the flavour was really good. I'm gonna have to find a better crustless quiche recipe though. | |

| I start with a couple pounds of either ground beef or steak chunks, browned with butter, lots of onions and garlic. Then I throw it in a big pot (or more often, crockpot) with a couple cans of rinsed kidney beans, a couple cans of drained diced tomatoes with chilis, a cup of frozen corn, 2 cups jarred spaghetti sauce, a cup of salsa and then spice it with cumin, chili powder, hot sauce and montreal steak spice and let it cook all day. My spaghetti sauce is very similar only I don't add the beans, corn or salsa, I don't make it as spicy and I don't cook it all day. Chili is always served over white rice, leftovers served over buns. Spaghetti is obviously served over spaghetti noodles What does yours look like? | |

| Here is the basic recipe.
4 lbs of ground beef.
brown. drain excess grease.
2-3 cloves garlic chopped
salt/pepper too taste 1 mccormick chili pk 1 can diced tomatoes 1 can tomato sauce cayenne to taste garlic pepper to taste MORE chili powder to taste
simmer, stir occassionally for at least 1 hr. taste and modify seasonings if needed.
oh.... we dont like beans in our but sometimes add 1-2 cans pinto or red beans to it.
we use chili pk as base and then tweak as needed to our taste.
I hope that makes sense. we like our spicy. I sometimes add cumin to it as well.

| I haven't the faintest idea. Part of me is hoping hubs changes his mind and wants to take the kids to Mardi Gras tonight so we can eat food there. lol
I was supposed to get my glucose test this morning but pushed it to tomorrow so he could what the girls and I could eat a better dinner tonight. I woke up so hungry this morning I felt sick. Not a good way to try and go to a glucose test.
