Points

I just found the section on what the potential is for these points we keep racking up. We can 1) call them whatever we want, 2) offer {something} in exchange for points (you're not a cop, are you?) and 3) deduct them when you've "purchased" something with your points (fi' dollah).

Example: I can open a "shop" where you can request to cash in 100 points for a special "Cake Hater" rank. Or, you know, whatever.

Here are the screen shots I took from the forum help...forum. They'll give you an idea of what else we can do. Let me know if any of this sounds like fun.

Maybe this is another possible answer to our chatbox question. A user can purchase chatbox privileges with their points...

I think what you have to do is click the groups button on the top and then choose which group you want to join

I don't see a Groups thing at the top I see Forum, Members, Profile, blah blah blah.

it's right in between members and profile

There is nothing between Members & Profile. This is exactly what it says in order,

yeah, but I don't know how else. reputation comes from people liking your posts with that little +/- in the top right corner or from people thanking you, but the thanks button seems to come and go as it pleases, I haven't figured that out yet lol. But I totally don't understand how to get points other than posting, but there must be more to it since points are always higher than posts.

Sorry guys!! I just got killed at work today.

Anyway, I can see that you're green Noodz, which indicates that you're on Team Cake, but I'll check what you actually have access to. I'll fix you up.

Points are for posting. You get points automatically for signing up. You get 3 points for starting a new topic and one for each reply to a topic. There are a couple of exceptions that will get you more points, but my phone's being a punk, so I'll type that out when I get home.
